Justin Goldman joined Seabury as an Investment Banking Associate in October 2011, and is currently a Vice President on Seabury’s Merchant Banking team. Over the course of his career, Mr. Goldman has executed a variety of transactions ranging from restructurings to capital raises and M&A.
During his tenure at Seabury, Mr. Goldman has been involved in engagements across multiple aviation and aerospace & defense sub-segments, including aircraft interiors / in-flight entertainment / connectivity, maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO), airline software, and commercial & cargo airlines. He has also participated in several maritime-related transactions. Among other engagements, Mr. Goldman successfully completed capital raises on behalf of Azul Brazilian Airlines (USD450M) and AJ Walter Aviation (USD125M), and closed sell-side transactions for Farnair Group and Row 44.
Mr. Goldman began his career at Gordian Group, LLC, a boutique restructuring and M&A advisory firm based in New York. While there, he worked on numerous deals across a variety of sectors including consumer, retail, manufacturing, and nutrition. After two years, Mr. Goldman was selected to aid in the formation of a new principal investing arm, Bacchus Capital Management. Over the course of the next several years, he played a critical role in establishing the fund’s infrastructure, raising capital from outside investors, sourcing deals, and analyzing potential investments prior to enrolling at Columbia Business School.
Mr. Goldman graduated summa cum laude from the New York University Stern School of Business with a degree in Finance & Accounting, and received his MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a FINRA-registered representative with Series 7, 79 and 63 certifications.
