Ginger Hughes joined Seabury in 2002 and is a Managing Director, Seabury Aviation Advisors. Ms. Hughes has over 20 years of global airline experience covering a wide range of matters including multiple successful airline restructurings, crisis cash management, due diligence, strategic sourcing negotiations, cost reduction programs and mergers & acquisitions advisory. She has a senior role in liquidity management, vendor negotiation and restructuring issues.

Having joined Seabury in 2002, Ms. Hughes has advised several major airlines during their restructuring process, including US Airways, Air Canada, Northwest Airlines, South African Airways and Frontier Airlines preserving liquidity while ensuring continuity of service. She has led teams to evaluate and renegotiate thousands of supplier contracts developing cost effective contractual relationships for the restructured entities. In addition, she has testified as an expert with respect to airline cost structures.

Ms. Hughes served as the acting CFO of Pinnacle Airlines during its successful restructuring and sale to Delta Air Lines. Additionally, Ms. Hughes has advised on other airline matters including strategic alternatives, regional affiliate relationships, business plan analyses, route profitability, alliance and joint ventures, loyalty programs, merger & acquisition and overall operating cost structure.

Prior to joining the Seabury, Ms. Hughes was a Senior Manager and leader in Ernst & Young’s global airline group. Ms. Hughes served numerous clients, including Southwest Airlines, British Airways, American Airlines and Hilton International. Ms. Hughes led evaluation teams for various completed and proposed transactions, including the American Airlines – British Airways alliance, the British Airways – Qantas Airlines joint services agreement, the LOT Polish Airlines and Iberia Airlines privatizations and Hilton International’s acquisition of Stakis Hotels as well as numerous others.

Ms. Hughes received her B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Hughes is a FINRA Representative and is registered with the Series 7, 79 and 63.
